Oversaw all home page updates, built landing pages, created features and functionality, and released midnight launches.
Oversaw outlet, expert advice, adventure section, as well as other important sections of the website.
Created promotional banners with functions such as video, slides and more.
Built landing pages for REI’s new markets.
Chose Adobe CQ5 CMS as the modern platform.

Expert Advice Section

The Expert Advice section of REI was receiving the lowest numbers in search traffic compared to any other section of REI's website.
Assigned full coding control of Expert Advice section(when I say control I am referring to code and not content or design).
Optimized the pages code with search engines in mind.
Fixed code error and SEO issues.
Presented with search function issues. Over one weekend, built a truly functioning search system.
Within a relatively short time Expert Advice was receiving the most traffic of any other section including the home page. This led to being granted full coding control of other sections of the website.

Below, you will find examples of my additional projects at REI. Most often the design department would hand off designs and specs of a project in print format. Assets would be stored on a drive. I would then code what was delivered into the REI website.

Built home page and site-wide banners, with functionality such as countdowns, models, video, slides, hover overs, etc.

Fun Project

Built the landing page for REI's first NYC location in the historic Puck building. The new Soho REI location brought in 100 new jobs to the local community.
