Tasked to assist with promotional banner development. Created website updates, optimized website for search engines, created functionality, assisted in new CMS implementation, and responsible for midnight launches.

Background
- Oversaw all home page updates, built landing pages, created features and functionality, and released midnight launches.
- Oversaw outlet, expert advice, adventure section, as well as other important sections of the website.
- Created promotional banners with functions such as video, slides and more.
- Built landing pages for REI’s new markets.
- Chose Adobe CQ5 CMS as the modern platform.

Expert Advice Section
- The Expert Advice section of REI was receiving the lowest numbers in search traffic compared to any other section of REI’s website.
- Assigned full coding control of Expert Advice section(when I say control I am referring to code and not content or design).
- Optimized the pages code with search engines in mind.
- Fixed code error and SEO issues.
- Presented with search function issues. Over one weekend, built a truly functioning search system.
- Within a relatively short time Expert Advice was receiving the most traffic of any other section including the home page. This led to being granted full coding control of other sections of the website.
A Few Projects
Below, you will find examples of my additional projects at REI. Most often the design department would hand off designs and specs of a project in print format. Assets would be stored on a drive. I would then code what was delivered into the REI website.
